For a little getaway between Christmas and the New Year, we popped up to the Lake District for some fresh country air. We stayed in a lovely little Inn just outside of the national park, called The Inn at Brough, and spent a beautiful wintery day driving around the lakes from Ullswater, to Derwentwater, to Windermere. We stopped off at Derwentwater to hike the Catbells, which was absolutely beautiful. We were so glad we walked the loop anti-clockwise because it was quite scrambley at the top, and this direction means more scrambling on the ascent and less on the descent! Here are a few snaps from the trip 🙂
I have always wanted to visit the Lake District. You’re pictures are lovely!

Oh, I see. Lake district, sound so great in my eyes, because in Finland, we have 187 888 lakes and we have the huge area called Lake Land. One example from this area:

Happy and safe travels!
