Today was the perfect lazy sunday! We had a slow start, and once we were up and dressed we pulled on our cozy coats and wellies and headed to our local national trust property for a wander. As soon as we arrived, we grabbed hot drinks (a hot chocolate with all the trimmings is the BEST when you’re on a long walk) and went wanderin’. Two strangers commented on how epic my hot choc looked, which cemented my confidence in my beverage choice! I decided to take my camera with me, as I’m trying to get back into lifestyle photography. I feel most comfortable shooting landscapes that tell stories of travel and adventure, but I’m really making a conscious effort to notice the simple things in life and capture the little every day moments that make me happy. I’ve also started journaling again – every evening I list three good things about the day. I’m guilty of focussing too much on what I don’t have, so this is all part of my long term goal to reflect more and be grateful for what I DO have! I was also very glad I had my camera with me, because we bumped into my sister, brother-in-law and nephew! I caught some lovely family snaps of them, which brought me so much shutterbug joy!!
